Lesotho Hip Hop:Core Wreckah and Cymton – Get Clear

Lesotho Hip Hop: Core Wrecka production by Cymtom Boom bap aesthetics and hip-hop’s golden-era antics reign supreme on this release by Core Wreckah (of the duo Corporate Nemesis) and Cymtom (of Artform).

Seminal in every way (and arguably the first of its kind out of the mountain kingdom of Lesotho), Get Clear is but a taste of what to expect when the two artists release their collaborative EP – as yet untitled– later on this year or early 2013.
The work ties in well with the ‘do you‘ mantra that seems to have taken centre-stage in society of late; the two gentlemen do the music they love, and do not wish to convey any ill-will nor distaste for the current trends in hip-hop in the process.
Get it clear is a braggadocio-filled, horn, bass, and thumping-drum ensemble. Core Wreckah rides the staunch, didactic production sensibilities courtesy of Cymtom with much aplomb.
The project is available as a ‘name-your-price‘ offer on bandcamp. Support and Bump.
